Vintage Japanese white porcelain ginger jar, hand painted with a pair of exotic peacocks amongst trees, Cherry Blossom branches and colourful flowers. The gilding and paint work is fine & exquisite as expected from Japan. The lid has a single delicate branch on it with a gold floral hand painted band, the body has two further decorative gold bands. Stamped in gold on underside with the 'Japan'. Wood stand included. A very pretty piece of fine Japanese porcelain.
