A gorgeous pair of Chinese ginger jars with hand painted impressive red Imperial dragons and pheonix. Each has a meticulous all-around hand painted design interspersed with colourful vines, gourds and fruits - all very auspicious. Underside of each piece with hand painted Tongzhi dynasty mark in overglaze red. Condition is excellent. It's great to find a pair of such beautiful ginger jars in this particular design. Mid 20th Century. Each is 7 3/4" high x 7 3/4" diameter. 7. 7 pounds total.
