A good sized vintage Chinese Famille Noire porcelain box with cover. Hand painted on the island of Macau with an all-over floral design in rich colourful enamels - primarily orange, jade green, pink and blue/mauve. Handy storage box for bathrooms, bedrooms or even the office. Porcelain is no longer made in Macau so we are always pleased to find pieces like this. Hallmarked on the underside with a red Qianlong seal mark stamped in red together with an H.F.P. Macau paper label that this piece was painted under 'strict supervision!'. Good condition with typical minor manufacturing flaws. Vintage Mid 20th Century.
