Eye catching vintage Chinese cast brass temple bell on ornate carved dark brown rosewood stand. This large piece has a very solid and heavy cast brass or bronze bell with the figure of a dragon chasing the flaming pearl in relief. Hand carved openwork solid rosewood stand with lots of details and auspicious features throughout. No markings. Vintage, mid-20th century. Condition is good with some expected minor repair on the rosewood stand. Today this can be used as a unusual decorative object - or as an actual bell to 'summon' guests to the table for example.
