A large heavy gauge nineteenth century solid copper bucket, cauldron, pail or kettle with a rolled rim and iron handle. The burnished surface is gently etched with the marks of time, that reflect the many families it has passed through and the numerous tasks it has performed over time. The piece demonstrates the artisanship typical of the time, we think, in Persia due to the three unusual circles of hand chased markings on the inside. Today it stands as a unique collectible, perfect for those drawn to the antique charm only centuries old items can provide. Superb for use as a fireside log holder or for drinks on the porch! Great patina and in very good condition, no holes or weak areas.
