Republic Perod Chinese Jinlong Polychromed Black Lacquer Stools with Bluebirds, Side Tables, Pedestals, a Pair

A pair of very pretty Chinese, Oriental stools, side tables or pedestals with original makers label. Carefully incised and hand painted black lacquer decorated with cream & apricot/orange flowers with a pair of blue birds on the top amongst further flowers and jade green leaves.. Gold/gilt greek key pattern around the edge, over a decorative band of lotus flowers and leaves. The four legs are auspicious 'Ruyi' in shape.

Can be used as pedestals, side or drinks tables.
Some of the nicest stools we have seen in a while.

Signed on underside by Jinlong (Gold Dragon) "Beijing gold inlaid lacquer furniture factory", 1950s. Early Peoples Rebublic Period.
Retains maker's lable on underside as shown.

Condition is very good and it's wonderful to find a pair like this.  Each is 17.5" x 17.5" x H18".  Each is 11 pounds.
