One of a kind - a very early and large solid brass cauldron or bucket, a beautifully hand crafted piece by a skilled metal worker of the time. Probably early 19th Century or even a little earlier.
This is a heavy (15lbs) solid brass piece with a study swing handle, fittings and ball feet that raise it off the floor. Beautiful shape, coloring and patina.
Well preserved and never harshly polished. A rare find.

Note the scratched out area in middle underside. This was usually a well-to-do family name that had fallen on hard times and they didn't want to advertise the families plight by selling off their assets....
Apart from the obvious uses around the fire place, this could be used as a cooler, planter for ferns, flower display, towel storage etc.
No markings.
Condition is very good with typical surface tarnish.
15 3/4" high x 14 3/4" diameter. (with handle raised height extends to 24")
About 15 pounds.
