Early 20th. Century Antique Chinese Step Style Rosewood Table, Plant Stand (Hongmu / Blackwood)

We were very pleased to acquire this old Chinese step style display table or stand made from old mature ebony dark brown hongmu / blackwood - a rare rosewood. This heavy hard wood is also know as black gold, Hongmu - and is sought after by collectors.
The wood has attained a rich dark brown / ebony colour. Beautiful hand carved sides with simple elegant legs.
Two lower tiers and lower shelf.
Great for plants (in waterproof trays) or ornaments/lamps.
There is wood shrinkage as per photographs. See condition description/arrows on photographs.
A beautiful piece of old very traditional Chinese furniture.
