A very nice and good sized hand carved ornate box or chest, somewhat rustic/primitive in style. Well hand crafted from solid pine with wrought-iron handles and fittings. Lots of flowers and leaves decorate the front panel, simple cross band deocration on lid.
This usefully sized piece rests on carved feet. Great patina and has a 'bearing'. A decorative piece for storage of many an item, in many a room.
No markings. Probably from the Mediterranean area.
Condition is very good with expected minor repairs and blemishes.
