This unusual and older light peach coloured ginger jar is competently hand painted in rich enamels with an auspicious wrap around scene that portrays the celebration of a new addition to a Chinese family.
Auspicious red crowned cranes fly amongst the beautiful stylised clouds and over the dignatories and guests visiting in the garden pavillion with a lake or river in the background - note the very stylised waves. One of the 8 Immortals, Fu Lu Shou 福禄寿 is in attendance (God of Happiness) - all very correct culturally.
Ruyi border on the neck area and key/fret base border - yellows and light pink. The main body is a light peach colour - the 7th photo is the best representation of the colour.
