An unusual and not oftern found antique Chinese or Asian bronze statue of a recumbent caparisoned elephant carrying a four light candelabra on its' back. This bronze elephant has a fringed blanket on its' back and a traditional ceremonial head-dress. The naturalistic base is supported by four ball feet. A fine bronze casting with great color and patina. This will certainly add an element of interest to a dining table as a centre piece or to console, or mantle. Very opulent! Anonymous.
