Splendid Antique Chinese black lacquer jewelry box with exquisite workmanship. Intricate mother of pearl inlay with brilliant iridescent qualities throughout. The front face is a scene depicting opposing dragons battling over the flaming pearl in the heavens/clouds. The top and sides with scenes of a pair of deers in a beautiful landscape with birds flying overhead with further flowers & fruits. Bat-form drawer pulls. The starburst style geometric inlay throughout must have taken the maker an incredible amount of time to complete. Silk-lined and padded drawers provide cushioning for your valuables. No signatures.
