Large original oil on canvas by listed American artist John Luini (1913 - 2002), from Smithfield, Rhode Island. A superb example of this talented artist's work with precise brushwork and a striking palette of gentle colours. The scene depicts fishing boats anchored at sunset by a ramshackle dock with palm trees in the background. The palest of grey, pink and orange/salmon sunsets above a calm sea. Presented in original off white period frame. Signed lower right. Condition is excellent. Circa 1960s - 1970s.
