Great rustic fireplace accessory for wood burning stove or fireplaces. This scuttle or Purdonium is made of solid wood with brass corner trims and tin liner. Fits neatly on a hearth or fireside, ready for the winter months. Handy pull out scuttle - keeps the fireside tidy. No markings. Condition is good and solid with honest distress and patination. Mid 20th Century, possibly earlier.
